Hidden Gem – Miami Design District!

I headed to check out Miami’s Design District yesterday and what a hidden gem! It’s the perfect mix of shopping, art installations, architecture, design and eating for an afternoon escape. Each store had such a unique style of architecture and design that almost popped more than the items for sale! The neighborhood is small and easily walkable with 4 parking lots, street parking and 10 valet stations where you can drop off and pick up your car from any of them! Parking is very affordable (shocking for Miami!)

Parking Lot Rates: 0 to 4 hours……. $3    |    4 to 6 hours…….. $6    |    6+ hours/per day…….. $25

Valet Parking Rates: 0 to 4 hours…$5    |    4 to 6 hours…….$10    |    6+ hours…..$40

The stores here had eye catching architecture and I found myself being more drawn to that than the products they were selling!

Eye Popping Design in the stores – Unique to Miami!

Prada: The marble black and white floor tiles were so on trend for Prada! i loved the entire vibe of the store.

Dolce & Gabbana: Rainbow collection fine jewelry – a nod to the 305 and the 80’s!

Cult Gaia: The blue and white tiles on the exterior reminded me of Portugal and i just had to go in! the walls are lined with handbags, but in a very artistic gallery way and the back room had a live tree.

Celine: The design of this store was so much more visually captivating than the actual products! The mirror staircase and perfume area was breathtaking and very old Hollywood! I just can’t get excited about the direction Celine is moving or the new bags….is it just me?

Christian Louboutin: another stunning architecurally pleasing store.

Louis Vuitton: usually my first stop on shopping days.

Loewe: I’m new to this brand, but love seeing how they decorate each of their stores around the world. The store smelled of their tomato leaves candles!

Tiffany & Co: The facade was to die for! I didn’t even go inside….

YSL: I loved the old school desks and raw edge wood coffee table.

Next time, will check out the restaurant scene and be sure to hit up some stores I missed. Would love to hear what your favorite store in the Design District is below!
